Dr Soumyadarshan Nayak completed his MBBS in 2002 and MD (General Medicine) in 2007 from SCB Medical College, Cuttack. Subsequently he completed his DM (Neurology) in 2013 from SMS Hospital, Jaipur. 6. He has also received fellowship in headache at IHS SYDNEY, Australia, August 2018. He has 8 national and international publications. Besides, he has numerous poster and platform presentations at national and international conferences. He has been felicitated for his contribution in Neurology by various organizations including the prestigious “ECONOMIC TIMES”- most inspiring neurologists of India on 1st July-2019 and “APJ ABDUL KALAM AWARD” for work in field of Medicine in 2018. He is the Co-PI of the ICMR-NCDIR project “Establishment of a Population Based Stroke Registry”. He is member of various neurologic societies such as the Indian Academy of Neurology, American Academy of Neurology, International Headache Society, Movement Disorder Society of India as well as a life member of the API.
Apart from academics, Dr Nayak loves playing chess. He was the runners-up in the State U-19 boys Chess Championship in 1997 and the National Junior (U-19) boys Chess Championship at Jalandhar in 1998.
