Dr SR Tripathy completed his MBBS from SCB Medical College, Cuttack, in 2009. He completed his post-graduation in General Medicine from UCMS and GTB Hospital, Delhi in 2014 followed by super-specialization (DM) in Rheumatology from KGMU, Lucknow in 2017. He returned back to his primary alma mater and joined as Assistant Professor (Rheumatology), SCB MCH, Cuttack in 2017.

He is the recipient of the Flying Officer S. N. Acharya Memorial Gold Medal, 2008 for securing highest marks in Ophthalmology, in the MBBS, 7th Semester Examination, 2008; Best oral presentation for the session at 69th APICON, 2014;     Dr. Siddharth Kumar Das Gold medal for securing highest marks in DM Rheumatology; and the Third best original paper 2017-18 published in the Indian Journal of Rheumatology. He has 11 papers in National and international journals. He is the Co-PI of ICMR sponsored project: “Vitamin D as an adjunct in the treatment of systemic lupus erythematosus- a double blind randomised control trial” which is being conducted in the department of Rheumatology, SCBMCH, Cuttack and the “Indian Systemic lupus erythematosus project for Research (INSPIRE): Multi-institutional cohort development”- a DBT sponsored initiative.

He is a life member of the Indian Rheumatology Association and the Society for Osteoarthritis and Research.
