Dr PC Rath completed his MBBS from VSS Medical College, in 1999. He completed his MD (General Med.) in 1983 from SCB Medical College, Cuttack. Subsequently, he obtained his super-specialization (DM-Cardiology) from CMC, Vellore in 1987. He received his training in Angioplasty from St. Lukes Hospital, University of DENVER, Colarado, USA in 1989 and completed Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology in the University of Rouen, France.in 1990.
He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, European Society of Cardiology and Indian College of Cardiology. He has been a Visiting faculty of the Dept. of Cardiology, University of Rouen, France; Adjunct Professor in the School of Medicine, The University of Queensland, Australia;Honorary Visiting Professor – Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal,Madhya Pradesh. He was also a faculty (professor) of Health Sciences, University of Queensland, Australia and the Apollo Hospitals Educational and Research Foundation (AHERF). He has been the Course Directorat Hyderabad Valves and the Course Co-director at India Live, and Hyderabad Live.
He has been the President, Indian College of Cardiology 2002 – 2003; Convener, Interventional council of Cardiological Society of India; Editorial Board Member, Indian Heart Journal, 2001;Executive Body Member: Cardiological Society of India; and the National Convener: National Interventional Council Meeting of India.
He has more than 120 publications in National & International Journals like Lancet, JACC, Catheterization and cardiovascular diagnosis.
