Dr PK Parida completed his MBBS in 2003 from MKCG Medical College, Berhampur. He joined SCB Medical College for his post-graduation in General Medicine which was completed in 2003. Subsequently, he completed his super-specialization (DM) in Gastroenterology from SCB Medical College in 2017. He has 15 publications in various national and international journals. Besides he has presented papers in various national and international conferences. He has won the 1^st prize at the ISGCON poster presentation and second prize at the INASL conference.

He is a member of INASL (Indian National Association for Study of Liver), ISG (Indian Society of Gastroenterology), ACG (American College of Gastroenterology), API, National (Association of physicians of India), API, Odisha (Association of physicians of India), RSSDI (Research Society for Study of Diabetes in India) and IMA, Odisha (Indian Medical Association).

He has been felicitated by numerous social and non-governmental organizations for his efforts in promoting health awareness via print and media.
